I spend much of the summer on Lake Huron, never doubting how fortunate I am to see sunset after sunset, each one different from the last. The water is so clear that even as the light falls away you can still see the rocky ground beneath the surface. Brazil seems far away but I am painfully aware of the interconnectivity between burning rain forests and the bounty of blessings we have here in the Canadian landscape. It all seems so big and impossible for us to deal with as individuals, but it is not. The choices you make do make a difference. It’s up to all of us, let’s not allow all this to slowly vanish.
