At roughly 1000 meters above sea level, the Old Man of Storr is a 4km hike on the Isle of Skye not to be missed. A mixed blessing is that it also can be busy. Busy is good because I am always happy to see so many people outdoors, taking in nature and appreciating all the beauty around us. It’s not so great because crowds can suck! In my experience it’s often easy to get away from the crowds if you just go a wee bit further than the obvious first stop. Then you find yourself alone in the landscape, wind in your face and in this case a clear shot of the iconic Old Man!
