It won’t be long before I arrive in Naples, FLA for the umpteenth time. Clearly a destination I love. And for all the wonderful restaurants and attractions in the area, what I love most is the nature. A boardwalk through the mangroves, a stroll through the Corkscrew Sanctuary Audubon Reserve, a boat ride out to isolated Keewaydin Island for shelling, or to simply splash about in the vast Gulf of Mexico. But what I love most about Naples is dolphins. There is a mysterious connection between them and us. A friendliness or dare I say “simpatico” that we’d otherwise only associate with dogs. A sense of agreement and understanding that is intuitive to humans which is crazy when you really think about it. And a playfulness that is evident from this picture as they love to play in the wake of a boat. I can’t wait to see them cruise up and down the Gulf shore again because when I do, it makes me feel like things are ok!
